Fans recently reacted after Stipe Miocic's custom shorts for his upcoming bout against Jon Jones at UFC 309 surfaced online. They noted that the design has a striking resemblance to that worn by another MMA legend, while also taking a jibe at the effort put into the design.
The former heavyweight champion will be competing for the first time since his knockout loss to Francis Ngannou in 2021, while 'Bones' will be making his first title defense since submitting Ciryl Gane to win the vacant title last March.
Ahead of UFC 309, Spinnin Backfist posted a photo of Miocic's custom shorts that he will be wearing this Saturday when he attempts to regain the heavyweight championship.

The shorts are designed by Venum, which has received some positive reviews with recent designs for the likes of Max Holloway, Sean O'Malley and Alex Pereira.
With that in mind, some fans took to the comment section and mentioned that the shorts had a similar design to Mirko Cro Cop, while others bashed the design as not being the apparel brand's best work:
"So close to being Cro Cop coded"
"That's fire but should've been the Croatian colors"
"Ruining a cool design by making it unrecognisable by removing the color and making it indistinguishable from regular black shorts from afar"
